Ranthambhore to Kanha
Where the wild things are! Ranthambhore, Bharatpur, Bandhavgarh & Kanha National Parks. The definitive adventure for tiger & wildlife fanatics, this excitement-packed fortnight also takes in the legendary Taj Mahal in Agra & the historic sights of Delhi - elderly & new.
Day1: Delhi
On arrival in to Delhi you will be met & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to start to ecplore Delhi or to relax at the hotel. Overnight – Delhi

Days 2 - 4: Ranthambhore NP
tiger reserves in RanthamboreDelhi - Ranthambhore (by Sawai Madhopur). The morning is spent at leisure before they board the train to Ranthambhore. Ranthambhore National Park is of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. Sprawling across an area of some 1334 sq. kms, the park boasts an impressive 10th century fort. In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer as well as a variety of birds. Tiger spottings are more common in the morning or late afternoon. You’ll venture on four fascinating game drives over days three and four in shared jeeps or Canters. Overnight - Ranthambhore NP

Day 5: Bharatpur
Keoladeo Ghana National ParkRanthambhore - Bharatpur. After a morning game drive you’ll board the train for Bharatpur - home to Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Rated as of the finest bird reserves in the world, over 350 species of birds have been identified at the park. A prime time to visit is from October to late February when myriad migratory birds such as the rare Siberian crane can be viewed. In the work of your visit, think about walking or hiring a bicycle rickshaw. Overnight – Bharatpur

Day 6: Agra
Beautiful Taj MahalBharatpur - Umaria (by Agra). En route to Umaria, a cease is made at Agra. One time the Mughal capital of India, Agra is home to the legendary Taj Mahal. A visit is made to the Taj, where you’ll see first-hand, the efforts Emperor Shah Jahan went to in constructing a solid white marble mausoleum for his beloved spouse, Mumtaz. From Agra, you’ll later board the train to Umaria. Overnight – Train


Days 7 - 9: Bandhavgarh NP
Bengal Tiger in BandhavgarhUmaria - Bandhavgarh. An early morning arrival at Umaria, then a short drive to Bandhavgarh where you’ll enjoy the first of your game drives. Bandhavgarh is set amidst the Vindhyan ranges. Claiming to have the highest density population of Bengal tiger in India, coupled with a population of leopard, nilgai, jackal, wild boar, sloth bear, gaur, sambar deer & vibrant bird life, game drives are often peppered with sightings. In Bandhavgarh you will take four game drives over days 8 & 9 in private jeeps. Overnight - Bandhavgarh NP

Days 10 - 12: Kanha NP
Kanha National ParkBandhavgarh - Kanha. After a morning game drive, they journey to Kanha by a fossil park. Kanha is of India’s largest parks, covering 1945 sq. km of forest & lightly wooded grassland. This is the land that Kipling wrote so vividly about in his literary classic ‘Jungle Book’. Kanha National Park has an wonderful variety of wildlife - including the Bengal tiger, leopard, sambar, chital, blackbuck, gaur, swamp deer & jackal. On days 11 & 12 enjoy four game drives in private jeeps. Overnight - Kanha NP

Day 13: Delhi
Kanha - Delhi (by Jabalpur). This morning drive to Jabalpur to board the Gondwana express to Delhi. Overnight – Train

Day 14: Old Delhi
Old DelhiEarly arrival at Delhi station, transfer & check-in at your hotel. Later, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Elderly Delhi taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid mosque & the vibrant Chandni Chowk bazaar. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of New Delhi. Open & comparatively streamlined New Delhi was built as the imperial capital of India by the British. Highlights include the majestic India Gate, Rajpath & bustling Connaught Place. A visit is also made to Qutab Minor, a large tower built in the 11th century followed by a visit to a carpet emporium. Overnight – Delhi

Day 15: Delhi
Hotel check-out and included onward transfer to airport.

National Park opening dates.
Ranthambhore NP is open from 01 Oct till 30 June.
Bandhavgarh National Park is open from 15 Oct till 30 June
Kanha NP is open from 16 Oct till 30 June.
