Narlai
Narlai MapThe location of Narlai has been of much importance due to the flora & fauna that has grown there. It lies in between Udaipur & Jodhpur. Narlai is amongst the lesser known destinations of Rajasthan & as a result is a less touristy place to visit. Also called Rawal Narlai, Narlai is situated at the foot of the Aravali Hills. The place is dotted with caves & temples which are the most beautiful features of Narlai. Rawals in the area are fundamentally homes of the village chiefs. This is of the most beautiful yet under rated destinations & it is feasible to trek in to the Aravali Hills.

The temple of Adinath is elderly and the outer ‘Mandap’ of the temple has stunning mural paintings on its ceiling which still retain their original splendour. Opposite Rawla Narai hotel is a mammoth granite rock with a small temple on top. There is as well as a lovely baori (step-well) in Narlai and several elderly temples. The beautiful Jain temples of Ranakpur close by, as is Kumbalgarh Fort, built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century & is the second most important fort in Rajasthan after the Chittorgarh Fort.
