Mussoorie
Mussoorie MapPopularly known as the Queen of Hills, this charming hill station, a tranquil respite from the hot cities. Also, major Hindu pilgrimage sites like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Haridwar, Rishikesh are not far from here.

In 1820, Captain Young of the British army was influenced by the beauty of this place and made it his residence. The name, Mussoorie is derived from plants of 'Mussoorie' which were present in abundance here.

Enjoy a Ropeway ride to Gun Hill, the second highest peak of Mussoorie. The sheer thrill of the ride is memorable, as are the panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. In the coursework of pre-independence days a gun mounted on this top was fired heralding mid-day to enable people to alter their watches & hence this name.

Kempty Falls is the largest & prettiest waterfall, located in a stunning valley & is surrounded by high mountains.
